Burden Counseling Care, LLC was established in February 2026 in Columbia, SC. Previously, Brittany Burden was connected for five years with Insight Ministries—a biblical counseling group in Augusta, GA. She has a little over a decade of experience in the counseling field.
She studied at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA where she received a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling in 2012. During her time there, she also had the privilege to intern at the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF) with supervision under Ed Welch. Before moving to Columbia, SC in 2020, she lived and worked in Greenville, SC for eight years. During that time she was on staff at Downtown Presbyterian Church as Church Life Coordinator, and later as Women’s Ministry Director, which included counseling as well. Her experience in the local church and in college ministry with Reformed University Fellowship after college, have given her a richer vision for what Christ-centered help and hope can do in the lives of many.
She mainly works with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, singleness, marriage, parenting, step-parenting and blended families, grief, and loss. She is passionate about showing how the love of Jesus invades the darkest parts of our stories and transforms us from the inside out.
She met her husband Tim in December 2019 and got married in July 2020, during a global pandemic no less. He is the Associate Pastor at their local PCA church. Brittany has two young children, Jack and Betsy, and a teenage step-daughter, Myra.
